Measurements: 9.25”x 8.75” Fits ages 2-Teen!

Gauge: 10sts x 6.5 rows= 2”x2”

Materials: Yuri by Classic Elite Yarns (Sock weight yarn, 75% super-wash merino, 25% Nylon)

42 Yards of Yuri, color 5027 Red Coleus (red)

42 Yards of Yuri, color 5085 Poppy (orange)

42 Yards of Yuri, color 5050: Daffodil (yellow)

42 Yards of Yuri, color 5046 Hosta (green)

42 Yards of Yuri, color 5057 Morning Glory (blue)

42 Yards of Yuri, color 5056 Pansy (purple)

US D/ 3.5 Hook

Abbreviations:

mr= magic ring

ch= chain

dc=double crochet

sl st= slip stitch

st(s)= Stitch(es)

bpdc=back post double crochet

fpdc= front post double crochet

(#)= stitch count

Notes: The key to this pattern is the yarn! Sock yarn is so soft and stretchy! Small hooks and thin yarns do take a little bit more time... but in this case the item could fit for years! Its a One-size fits kids 2-teen.

**In my original project I started with 8 rows of red and ended with 4 rows of purple. I did change the pattern to reflect a more even pattern, 6 rows of each color**


Begin with red

Row 1: Make a magic ring and ch 2, (ch 2 does not count as a st) dc 10 into the center of mr, sl st to beginning dc (10sts)

Row 2: ch 2 (does not count as a st) 2 dc into each stitch around, sl st to beginning dc (20sts)

Row 3: ch 2 (does not count as a st) 2dc into first st, 1 dc into next st, *2dc into next st, 1 dc into next st, repeat around, sl st to beginning dc (30)

Row 4: ch 2 (does not count as a st) 2dc into first st, 1 dc into next 2sts, *2dc into next st, 1 dc into next 2sts, repeat around, sl st to beginning dc (40)

Row 5: ch 2 (does not count as a st) 2dc into first st, 1 dc into next 3sts, *2dc into next st, 1 dc into next 3sts, repeat around, sl st to beginning dc (50)

Row 6: ch 2 (does not count as a st) 2dc into first st, 1 dc into next 4sts, *2dc into next st, 1 dc into next 4sts, repeat around, sl st to beginning dc (60)

Switch to orange

Row 7: ch 2 (does not count as a st) 2dc into first st, 1 dc into next 5sts, *2dc into next st, 1 dc into next 5sts, repeat around, sl st to beginning dc (70)

Row 8: ch 2 (does not count as a st) 2dc into first st, 1 dc into next 6sts, *2dc into next st, 1 dc into next 6sts, repeat around, sl st to beginning dc (80)

Row 9:. ch 2 (does not count as a st) 2dc into first st, 1 dc into next 7sts, *2dc into next st, 1 dc into next 7sts, repeat around, sl st to beginning dc (90)

Row 10-12: ch 2 (does not count as a st) dc into each stitch across (90)

Switch to yellow

Row 13-18: ch 2 (does not count as a st) dc into each stitch across (90)

Switch to green

Row 19-24: ch 2 (does not count as a st) dc into each stitch across (90)

Switch to blue

Row 25-30: ch 2 (does not count as a st) dc into each stitch across (90)

Switch to purple

Row 31-36: ch 2 (does not count as a st) fpdc in first st, bpdc in next st, *fpdc in next st, bpdc in next st, repeat around, sl st to beginning dc, finish off and weave in ends with a tapestry needle.
